PUPILS have held a special event to promote humanity issues.
Members of Bishop Gore school's Amnesty group staged the Make Love Not War show at the school on Monday evening. "The aim was to promote tolerance, love, respect and humanity," said organiser Nur Muhaimin.
"There was also a chance for people to talk and perform poetry, dance and comedy. We addressed issues such as Guantanamo Bay, Palestine and Israel, headscarf rights and religious beliefs.
"It gave people the chance to find out how religion, culture and language are humanity issues. We believe we can change the world by supporting Amnesty." The event was supported by city-based takeaway Ararad and Bryn-y-Mor print house.
